Specifics of the Spiritual Center in St. Pantaleon

Meeting Place of Seminarians of the Whole World

The coordination of the program in the Parish Church of Cologne, St. Pantaleon (Am Pantaleonsberg 2, 50676 Köln), has been given to the Archdiocese Theologians of Albertinum College by the World Youth Day Office. In the Chruch, built in the Romanesque style, are the tombs of the founders of the Church, Saint Archbishop Bruno of Köln (+ 965), and also the grave of the Byzantine Empress Theophanu (+991) (see > the city map for the location).

This Church of the Spiritual Center makes a particular offer to the Seminarians of the World who are taking part in World Youth Day. This focus will be underlined by the presence of the relics of the heart of John-Marie Vianney, which the Bishop of the diocese of Belley-Ars has given permission to be brought to the World Youth day in Cologne, which is the first time the relics were ever brought to Germany.

On Wednesday Afternoon, August 17 th, an International Seminarians meeting will be held in the forecourt of St. Pantaleons from 15:30 to 18:00, to which all candidates to the Priesthood and their directing priests participating in the World Youth Day, are cordially welcome to participate in.

All Priests, that for any reason have trouble finding an other location to celebrate mass from Tuesday to Friday, are given the possibility, either alone, in small groups, or with other companions, to celebrate the Holy Mass in St.Pantaleon.
